SB 899 -- INSPECTION OF SCHOOL BUSES

SPONSOR:  Goode (Dusenberg)

COMMITTEE ACTION:  Voted "do pass by consent" by the Committee on
Transportation and Motor Vehicles by a vote of 20 to 0.

This bill requires the State Highway Patrol to include the frames
on school buses as part of the annual school bus inspection.

FISCAL NOTE:  No impact on state funds in FY 2005, FY 2006, and
FY 2007.

PROPONENTS:  Supporters say that school bus frames should be
included in inspections.

Testifying for the bill were Senator Griesheimer for Senator
Goode; and State Highway Patrol.

OPPONENTS:  There was no opposition voiced to the committee.
